Ordinary Things, No Longer Ordinary

Ordinary Things No Longer Ordinary Christmas 2022

Have you ever thought about how God uses everyday people like you and me to communicate His message?

He used Angels to announce the coming of the King of Israel. He used Shepherds, filled with praise, to tell the story of Jesus’ birth. He used Joseph, a righteous man, to show compassion and forgiveness. And, He used Mary to demonstrate obedience and devotion to God.

This time of year, an ordinary object that comes to mind is the Christmas tree.

The direction of the needles on a Christmas tree points upwards towards God. The red symbolizes the blood of a Savior. The lights remind us that the Savior is the Light to the world and the green represents Life. Finally, the presents remind us of gifts, with the greatest gift of all in the Savior to mankind.

People and things may be ordinary, but not when God is involved.

Merry Christmas!
