May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

Together GableGotwals, Community Care and Career Development Partners are proud to host the Employee Mental Health Workshop: Equipping Employers to Effectively Help Employees and Minimize Costly Legal Risk.

When: Wednesday, May 25th at 4:30pm | Location: Vast Bank, N.A. 110 N Elgin Ave, Tulsa, OK 74132

According to the US DOL Office of Disability Employment Policy, nearly 1 in 5 employees—20%–may suffer mental health illness each year. That stat poses major problems for retention, productivity, and legal risk when the battle for talent is at historic levels. Yet most managers and supervisors are ill-equipped to best help employees effectively address mental health issues while minimizing risk of costly legal claims.

In this workshop, you will learn:

      • How to create a workplace culture of inclusivity and sensitivity that destigmatizes mental health struggles and creates a safe place to seek help in confidence.
      • The benefits of a strong Employee Assistance Program and its measurable impact on employee health, retention, and productivity.
      • How a jury hammered an employer with a $450,000 verdict for simply throwing a birthday party and how to manage mental health issues to minimize risk of costly ADA and FMLA claims.
      • Panel Discussion Q&A – Joshua Tanusaputra, COO & Christy Tanusaputra, LPC Career Development Partners | Terry Stover, Senior Manager, Employee Assistance Program, CommunityCare of Oklahoma | Chris Thrutchley, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, GableGotwals

Join representatives from Career Development Partners, Community Care, and GableGotwals to learn how to minimize legal risk followed by food and drinks while watching the Tulsa Drillers vs Springfield Cardinals.

This program is pending 1.5 hours of SHRM credit.
