Declare Your Independence

In preparing to go the fireworks display on July 4th it occurs to me that many of us are feeling much like our founding fathers.  Oppressed, exploited, or demoralized, not about the direction of our country, but about our careers.  We may feel that we are in a dead-end job without a clear future or that we are under-appreciated and no one really cares about our performance.

My advice to you is if you are in a place that you don’t feel challenged by your work or feel that you are not appreciated or don’t look forward to going to work every day, you need to make a change.  Take this Independence Day to evaluate your career.  Are you in the right place doing things you love with people you learn and grow from? If not, take control and seize the opportunity to move to that place where you can truly flourish.

Declare your independence!!!
