Thriving Minds is the Wellness Connection
Today we are thankful for you, our friends for your contribution to our business and our lives. Not just because it is Thanksgiving week but because people like you make the Thanksgiving Holiday season filled with deep gratitude to each of you from our hearts.
Being thankful throughout the year has incredible benefits to our quality of live and well-being the other fifty-one weeks of the year.
Want to up your thankfulness sensor, consider these suggestions:
- New and deeper relationship open with thankfulness. My father encouraged me to read Dale Carnegie’s book “How to Win Friends and influence People” as a teenager. Throughout the book he suggests we all need to learn the art of appreciation for others, for what it does for our character.
- Mental Health improves with a thankful heart. Anxiety has replaced hope for many people in the world. Hope, forgiveness, love and kindness reduce depression and increases happiness with a better mental health perspective.
- Overall physical health and well-being improves with thankfulness. Studies show that we experience less aches and pains and feelings of overall better health and makes us even smile more. Let us join this group of thankful people.
- Better sleep at night happens for thankful people. Take a moment to jot down a few notes before bed of things you are thankful for; it just might affect your dreams.
- Sensitivity and compassion towards others improve for thankful people. If we have the desire for revenge, replace it with an attitude of gratefulness for the benefit of all.
- Self-image improves with thankfulness. Comparing yourself with others does not make your better, but bitter. Show appreciation to others and watch what happens.
Holiday greetings from our wonderful team at Career Development Partners. We feel blessed for our great customers and friends. May you too have a thankful heart and a thriving mind that speaks into the lives of others for generations to come.
